Quo Sona alternatives

Quo Sona alternatives

The best Quo Sona alternative depends on what you want the agent to finish on the call: Upfirst for per-call pricing without a phone plan that can hand callers to your team, Rosie for minute-based plans with direct booking from $149, Goodcall if the same customers ring often, Dialzara for a $29 starter plan, and Voxipo if you want the appointment booked before the caller hangs up and missed callers phoned back from your own number, from $49 a month.

Why people switch

Why Quo Sona users look at other options

Sona is the AI agent inside Quo, the business phone system formerly called OpenPhone. Quo is priced per user, from $19 a month on Starter, and Sona runs on call credits: each Quo plan gets 1,000 free credits, enough for 10 calls, and paid tiers go from $25 for 40 calls to $199 for 600. The prices below were taken from each vendor's own site on October 30, 2026.

Sona sends a link rather than booking

Quo's appointment setter page describes Sona texting the caller a booking link. It documents no direct calendar booking, and Sona cannot reschedule or cancel during a live call, so the caller still has to complete the booking on their own.

Two bills that grow separately

Quo charges per user and Sona per call. At monthly prices, a two-person team on Quo Business pays $66 before any Sona tier, and adding the $49 tier for 100 calls brings the total to $115 a month.

Short calls cost a full credit block

One Sona call uses 100 credits whatever its length, so a 20-second question about opening hours counts the same as a booking. Past the 10 free calls, extra calls cost $1.00 with no paid tier and $0.45 to $0.75 on the paid tiers.

Extra fees around the agent

Sona's 7-day trial requires a paid Quo plan. Texting adds a one-time $19.50 carrier registration and a $1.50 to $3 monthly messaging fee, and each extra number is $5 a month.

The options

5 alternatives to Quo Sona

  1. Voxipo

Best for: Service businesses that want callers booked during the call without leaving their current phone number. Price: From $49 a month for 250 minutes, 14-day free trial with no card needed.

Voxipo's agent checks your open times and books the caller into Google Calendar, Outlook, Cal.com or GoHighLevel before the call ends. Your number stays where it is: unanswered calls are forwarded to Voxipo, which calls the person back from your SMS-verified business number after a delay you choose, 30 seconds unless you change it.

Check first: Live call transfer is not available yet and the standard agent setup cannot send texts, so it will not text a link or directions the way Sona does. Callbacks only go out between 8am and 9pm in the caller's time.

  2. Rosie

Best for: Owners who prefer a minute allowance to call credits. Price: From $49 a month for 250 minutes, 7-day free trial.

Rosie lists Professional at $49 for 250 minutes, Scale at $149 for 1,000 and Growth at $299 for 2,000, with English and Spanish on all three. Scale adds direct calendar booking, warm and live transfers and texts to callers during the call.

Check first: On Professional, Rosie texts an appointment link much like Sona, so direct booking means the $149 plan. Its pricing page does not give an overage rate.

  3. Upfirst

Best for: Small teams that want transfer and booking at a per-call price. Price: From $24.95 a month for 30 calls, 14-day free trial.

Upfirst charges $24.95 for 30 calls, $59.95 for 90, $159.95 for 300 and $299 for 600, and leaves out spam, silent calls and calls under 15 seconds. Upfirst's paid plans all include warm transfers, in-call texting and booking into Google, Outlook, Clio, Acuity, Calendly and Square calendars.

Check first: Extra calls cost $0.70 to $1.50 depending on the plan. Look for it at upfirst.ai, since upfirst.com is a parked domain.

  4. Goodcall

Best for: Shops and clinics where the same people call back often. Price: From $79 a month for 100 unique callers.

Goodcall counts unique phone numbers per month rather than calls or minutes, and it does not count spam or wrong numbers. Plans are $79 for 100 callers, $129 for 500 and $299 for 2,000, and you can forward your existing number to it.

Check first: Each caller past the Starter allowance costs 79 cents. Its FAQ names Google Calendar as its native booking connection.

  5. Dialzara

Best for: Low call volume and a small budget. Price: From $29 a month for 60 minutes, 7-day free trial.

Dialzara's voice plans run from Business Lite at $29 for 60 minutes to Business Elite at $349 for 1,000, with no contract. Google and Outlook calendar sync start on Business Pro at $99.

Check first: Dialzara's pricing page lists blind transfer on every plan and warm transfer from Business Pro. Business Lite has no calendar sync.

Where Voxipo fits

What Voxipo changes for a Sona user

The appointment is booked on the call

Instead of a link the caller may never open, the agent books into Google Calendar, Outlook, Cal.com or GoHighLevel while the caller is still talking. It follows your business hours and minimum notice, and it can move or cancel a booking it made earlier in the same call.

Missed callers are called back from your number

When your phone line forwards an unanswered call to Voxipo, Voxipo calls the person back from your SMS-verified business number after the delay you set, 30 seconds by default, between 8am and 9pm in the caller's time. Voxipo has no Quo integration, so check with Quo that your call flow can forward unanswered calls to another number before you rely on this.

Billed by minutes

Voxipo plans are $49 for 250 minutes, $99 for 600, $199 for 1,400 and $399 for 3,000. Calls are billed per started minute, and every plan includes a local number and unlimited AI agents.

Records you can search later

Recordings, transcripts, summaries and call outcomes are kept in a lightweight CRM that matches contacts by phone number.

What Voxipo does not do yet

  • Live call transfer is not available yet. The agent saves the caller's details and someone on your team returns the call.
  • The standard agent setup has no texting tool, so Voxipo cannot send a form or directions during a call.
  • Voxipo's Jobber connection is coming soon, while Quo already syncs call summaries and contacts to Jobber.
  • No callbacks outside 8am to 9pm in the caller's time or to callers outside the US and Canada.

The honest answer

When to stay with Quo Sona

Sona's main strength is that it lives inside the phone system your team already uses. These cases favor keeping it.

  • Your team already works in Quo and wants calls, texts and the AI agent in one app and one bill.
  • Your customers are happy to finish booking from a texted link, and you want Sona to send forms or directions mid-call.
  • You want callers passed to a teammate or department while they wait.
  • You get 10 calls a month or fewer, which Sona's 1,000 free credits cover.

Switching

How to switch from Quo Sona to Voxipo

  1. Open a Voxipo workspace

Your 14-day free trial starts when you create your first workspace, and no card is needed. Write the greeting and the questions to ask, add the documents the agent should answer from, and talk to it in your browser. Connecting a phone number for live calls and callbacks needs a paid plan.

  2. Connect the calendar you book from

Sign in to Google Calendar or Outlook, paste a Cal.com API token, or connect GoHighLevel, then set your hours and minimum notice.

  3. Decide which line Voxipo answers

Voxipo's plan includes a local number its agent answers, and missed-call callbacks need your carrier to forward unanswered calls to Voxipo. Ask Quo whether its call flows can forward unanswered calls to an outside number with the caller's own number shown. If Sona answers that line today, decide which calls each agent should take.

  4. Compare, then adjust your Sona tier

Once a Voxipo plan is live, compare a few weeks of its call records with Sona's. Your Quo phone plan does not change, and Sona's free credits still cover 10 calls if you drop the paid tier.

Questions

Quo Sona alternatives: FAQs

Does Quo Sona book appointments into my calendar?

Quo's appointment setter page describes Sona texting callers a scheduling link. As of October 30, 2026 it documents no direct calendar booking, and Sona cannot reschedule or cancel during a live call.

How much does Quo Sona cost?

Each Quo plan includes 1,000 free credits, or 10 calls. Paid Sona tiers are $25 for 40 calls, $49 for 100, $99 for 250 and $199 for 600, on top of Quo at $19, $33 or $47 per user a month.

Can I keep my Quo number and use Voxipo?

Possibly. Voxipo has no Quo integration. Voxipo then calls missed callers back from your verified number between 8am and 9pm in their time.

Which Sona alternative hands callers to a person?

Upfirst includes warm transfers on all paid plans, Rosie adds live and warm transfers on its $149 Scale plan, and Dialzara lists blind transfer on every plan and warm transfer from its $99 Pro plan. Live call transfer is not available in Voxipo yet.

Which Quo Sona alternative works with Jobber?

With Quo Sona, Quo syncs call summaries and contact details to Jobber. Voxipo's Jobber connection is coming soon; today it books into Google Calendar, Outlook, Cal.com and GoHighLevel.
