Goodcall alternatives

Goodcall alternatives

A Goodcall alternative makes sense when unique-caller billing stops working for you: Rosie or Dialzara for plain minute plans, Upfirst for per-call pricing with named calendars and a hand-off to your team, Smith.ai if you want live receptionists behind the AI, and Voxipo if you want callers booked into Google Calendar, Outlook, Cal.com or GoHighLevel on the call and missed callers rung back from your own number, from $49 a month.

Why people switch

Why Goodcall users look at other options

Goodcall bills its AI agent by unique callers per month rather than by minutes or calls: Starter is $79 for 100 callers, Growth $129 for 500 and Scale $299 for 2,000, with spam and wrong numbers left out of the count. You can build and test an agent free and start paying when you connect a number. Prices on this page were read from the vendors' sites on October 30, 2026.

Overage is charged per caller

On Starter, each new caller past 100 costs 79 cents. A month with 150 different callers comes to $118.50, close to the $129 Growth plan, so a good month can push you up a tier.

The repeat-caller discount does not help with new leads

Counting a number once a month saves money when regulars call back several times. A contractor whose calls come mostly from first-time callers pays for nearly every number that rings.

Bookings go to Google Calendar

Goodcall's FAQ names Google Calendar, Google Sheets and HighLevel as native connections, and its How it works page says bookings go on your Google Calendar. Owners who book in Outlook or Cal.com would connect them through an API tool or MCP server.

Call history is short on the entry plan

Starter keeps 30 days of call history and Growth 90 days. Unlimited history comes only with the $299 Scale plan.

The options

5 alternatives to Goodcall

  1. Voxipo

Best for: Service businesses whose calls come mostly from new customers. Price: From $49 a month for 250 minutes, 14-day free trial.

Voxipo bills by the minute, so it does not matter whether a number is new or calling for the third time. The agent books into Google Calendar, Outlook, Cal.com or GoHighLevel during the call, and calls you miss on your own number are forwarded by your carrier so Voxipo can phone the person back from your SMS-verified number.

Check first: Live call transfer is not available yet, and Voxipo does not connect to Zapier. Callbacks are placed only between 8am and 9pm in the caller's time zone.

  2. Rosie

Best for: Owners who want a flat minute allowance and a short trial. Price: From $49 a month for 250 minutes, 7-day free trial.

Rosie's three plans are Professional at $49 for 250 minutes, Scale at $149 for 1,000 and Growth at $299 for 2,000. Rosie includes English and Spanish, recordings and a Zapier connection on all of them, and adds direct calendar booking and transfers from Scale.

Check first: The $49 plan only texts a booking link. Rosie's pricing page does not list a rate for minutes past the allowance.

  3. Upfirst

Best for: Businesses that want to see which calendars are supported before signing up. Price: From $24.95 a month for 30 calls, 14-day free trial.

Upfirst names its calendars: Google, Outlook, Clio, Acuity, Calendly and Square. Plans run $24.95 for 30 calls up to $299 for 600, and Upfirst includes warm transfers, caller memory and 35+ languages on all paid plans.

Check first: Upfirst counts calls, so frequent repeat callers cost more than on Goodcall. Overage runs $0.70 to $1.50 a call.

Dialzara's Business Lite plan is $29 for 60 minutes, and the range climbs to Business Elite at $349 for 1,000. Dialzara syncs with Google and Outlook calendars from Business Pro, and its plans have no contract.

  5. Smith.ai AI Receptionist

Best for: Firms that want a person available behind the AI. Price: Free for 25 calls a month; Pro from $150 for 75 calls.

Smith.ai's AI Receptionist has a free plan for 25 calls, Pro from $150 for 75 calls and Enterprise from $500 for 300. Smith.ai's FAQ says AI calls can go to a live North America-based receptionist, and the Smith.ai free plan already includes integrations such as Clio and Zapier.

Check first: Smith.ai bills by the call, with extra calls at $2.10 to $2.50 on paid plans and $3.00 past the free plan's 25, and plans need 30 days' notice to cancel.

Where Voxipo fits

How Voxipo compares for a Goodcall user

Named calendars, booked during the call

The agent checks open times and books the caller into Google Calendar, Outlook, Cal.com or GoHighLevel while they are on the line, following your business hours and minimum notice.

Minutes, with a known overage

A Voxipo plan counts minutes, billed per started minute, so a regular and a first-time caller are billed the same way. Plans run from $49 for 250 minutes to $399 for 3,000, with extra minutes from $0.30 down to $0.15.

Missed calls come back from your number

With carrier conditional forwarding, calls you do not pick up go to Voxipo, and Voxipo places one callback from your SMS-verified business number after a delay you set between 0 and 3,600 seconds.

A CRM built from your calls

Recordings, transcripts, summaries and outcomes are saved to a lightweight CRM, with contacts deduplicated by phone number and sorted into leads and lists.

What Voxipo does not do yet

  • Live call transfer is not available yet. The agent captures the caller's details and your team phones back.
  • Voxipo does not connect to Zapier.
  • No callback for callers outside the US and Canada, so your team follows them up by hand.
  • One appointment per time slot across the whole business.

The honest answer

When Goodcall is the better fit

Unique-caller billing is a real advantage for some businesses. Stay with Goodcall if these describe you.

  • Most of your calls come from the same customers, so paying per unique caller costs less than paying per minute.
  • You want calls passed to a person you choose while the caller is still on the line.
  • You want to build and test an agent for free before paying anything.
  • You need the agent to reach an API, MCP server or your own code.

Switching

How to switch from Goodcall to Voxipo

  1. Build your agent in a trial workspace

Your 14-day free trial starts when you create your first workspace, and no card is needed. Set the greeting, intake questions and reference documents, and test the agent from your browser. Connecting a phone number for live calls and callbacks needs a paid plan.

  2. Connect a calendar

Sign in with Google or Microsoft for Google Calendar or Outlook, add a Cal.com API token and event type ID, or connect GoHighLevel. Set hours and minimum notice.

  3. Re-point your forwarding

Once you choose a plan, if your existing number forwards to Goodcall, change the carrier's busy and no-answer forwarding to the Voxipo forwarding number, then verify your business number by SMS for callbacks.

  4. Save your Goodcall history, then cancel

Goodcall's Starter plan keeps 30 days of call history, so save any records you need before you close the account.

As of October 30, 2026, Goodcall's FAQ names Google Calendar as a native connection and its How it works page says bookings go on your Google Calendar; its pricing page names no calendar.
